Pegasus makes professional hard rubber combs, and ProHair carries twenty of them. All Pegasus combs share the same material. They are hard rubber (ebonite) made with Flexinite technology, which adapts to temperature changes so the comb stays strong and flexible instead of turning brittle. The teeth are seamless, so they glide without snagging, and the rubber resists dryer heat, colour, perm solution and disinfectant. What changes from comb to comb is the length, the tooth spacing and the tail.
Cutting combs
A cutting comb has fine teeth to hold tension and wider teeth to comb out. Choose by length. The Pegasus 201 (7 in) is the compact all-rounder, easy to steer around ears and hairlines. The Pegasus 211 (8.5 in) holds wider sections flat for layers and long hair and gives you a long edge to check balance. For barbering, the Pegasus 302 barber comb (7.5 in) is tapered so its tip lies flat at the nape for clipper- and scissor-over-comb.

Colour and sectioning combs
For foils you want a pin tail: a steel pin that weaves and slices clean sections. The Pegasus 143 (9.5 in) pairs its steel pin with long fine teeth that hold the section flat. The Pegasus 123 (9.75 in) has an extra-long pin that reaches through thick hair. If you prefer no metal near the scalp, the all-rubber Pegasus 141 (9.25 in) keeps the long fine teeth with a rubber tail, and the classic Pegasus 101 (8 in) is the everyday rat-tail for partings and sections.

Styling, volume and detangling combs
For volume, the Pegasus 104 teasing comb has staggered teeth that backcomb a firm base for updos, with a tail to smooth it over. What is Flexinite hard rubber?
It is the Pegasus name for its hard rubber (ebonite) formulation, which adapts to temperature changes. In practice the comb flexes instead of snapping, does not melt next to a dryer, and does not pit when it meets colour or disinfectant.
Can I disinfect Pegasus combs?
Yes. The hard rubber is chemical resistant, so you can wash the combs in warm soapy water and use salon disinfectant between clients. Rinse and let them dry.
Pin tail or rubber tail?
A steel pin is sharper and more precise for weaving foils; a rubber tail is gentler on the scalp and fine for everyday partings and setting sections.
Why are some Pegasus combs out of stock?
ProHair ships these combs from Canadian distributor stock, and a few models sell out between deliveries. The product page always shows the live status, and you can still order an out-of-stock comb; it ships when stock arrives.
