Most grooming brands stop at the bottle. Uppercut Deluxe does not, which is what you would expect from a brand two barbers started in their own shop. This guide covers the part of the range that is bought by the chair rather than for the bathroom shelf.
The capes — one cape, three artworks
ProHair carries three Uppercut Deluxe barber capes at $36.43 each:
- Bridge Burner — black, with a lighter-and-flame graphic.
- Collage — white, line-art collage.
- Groomzilla — white, gorilla-and-comb.
They are the same cape underneath. Same cut, same eight snap closures, same past-knee length. Nothing separates them but the print, so buy the one that fits the shop.
The two features that matter in practice are those eight snaps and that length. Eight snaps means the neck adjusts to every client instead of one fixed size, which is the difference between a cape you fight with and one you forget about. Past-knee means clippings land on the floor rather than in the client's shoes, which is the difference between a sweep and a real clean-up.
One thing worth knowing before you order: these three artworks are discontinued by Uppercut Deluxe. What we have is what exists. If you are kitting out a shop and want matching capes, buy the set together.
The combs — two jobs, not one
CB11 Rake Comb — $13.50
Wide-set teeth. Two things follow from that: it moves through thick and dense hair without snagging or pulling, and it leaves a wider, softer comb line. If a fine comb has been making a client's style look too sharp and too finished, this is the correction. Good on thick, coarse and curly hair, and good for anyone who wants the finished look to read as natural rather than set.
CT7 Flip Comb — $13.50
A folding pocket comb with dual spacing — fine on one side, wide on the other. Folded it takes up less room than a set of keys, which is the whole point: it is the comb that is actually on you, rather than the one at home on the shelf. Sensible as a retail line by the till as well as a personal carry.
Different tools. The CB11 is a working comb for dense hair; the CT7 is a carry comb for touch-ups.
The backbar litre
The 3 in 1 Wash is the only product in the range with a professional size, and the arithmetic is worth doing:
- 240 ml at $17.25 → 7.19 ¢ per ml
- 1 L at $52.50 → 5.25 ¢ per ml
That is 27% less per wash. For a backbar that is straightforward; it is also the right call for a heavy household user. Both sizes are on the same product page — choose the size on the page rather than hunting for a separate listing.
Because it does hair, face and body, one litre at the basin covers a lot of ground, and it is gentle enough to use on every client rather than sorting them by hair type first.
What a shop should have on the retail shelf
If you carry the brand at the front of the shop, the products that move are the ones a client can be shown mid-service: the Clay Spray ($22.50) after you have used it on their hair, the Beard Oil ($21.00) after a beard trim, and the Matte Pomade & 3 in 1 Wash Duo ($33.00) as a gift line — it is two full-size products rather than travel minis, which is unusual in a gift pack and worth saying out loud to the customer. Note that the 100 g Matte Pomade is now stocked standalone at $19.69, so the duo is a gift proposition rather than the only route to the tin.
And then there is the Panther Head Candle ($33.75) — a sculpted 95% beeswax panther head, unscented. It is not a grooming product and it is not pretending to be; it is a shop object for a station or a shelf. It is also discontinued, so it will not be back.
What else the shop can now buy here
This guide was written when the professional half of the range was three capes, two combs and one litre. It is bigger now.
- Four combs, not two. The CB11 Rake Comb and the CT7 Flip Comb have been joined by the CT9 Styling Comb (long wide-set teeth, wide flat handle, $13.50) and the CT5 Tortoise Shell (dual fine-and-wide pocket comb, $12.00).
- Two brushes. The Vent Brush ($12.00) for blow-drying and the Quiff Roller Brush ($12.00) for root lift under a dryer.
- Station gear. A Barber Spray Bottle ($15.89) and a Barber Station Mat ($26.50) for clippers, shears and combs between clients.
- More backbar sizes. The 1 L 3 in 1 Wash has been joined by 1 L litres of the new Strength & Restore Shampoo and Conditioner ($52.50 each), and by 300 g backbar tubs of the Deluxe and Matte Pomades, Featherweight Paste and Easy Hold Cream.
One caution worth stating plainly: none of the combs, brushes, capes, the spray bottle or the mat belongs in a customer take-home routine, and they are deliberately absent from the three routines on the brand page. Nor do the litres — a 1 L bottle is a chair purchase, not a shelf one.

No. Identical cut, closure and length — three prints on one cape.
Which comb for fades?
Neither is a clipper-over-comb tool. The CB11 is a rake for moving through dense hair and for wider comb lines; the CT7 is a pocket carry. For fade work you want a proper taper comb.
Do you stock the litre in anything other than the 3 in 1 Wash?
Not at present. The 1 L is the only backbar size in the Uppercut Deluxe range at ProHair, and it lives as a size option on the 3 in 1 Wash product page.
