Kerachroma Clenditioner: the shampoo replacement
Clenditioner is a conditioning cleanser. You use it instead of shampoo. It lifts away dirt with almost no lather, so it strips far less colour and natural oil than a regular shampoo. It is sulfate-free and paraben-free, made with keratin, shea butter and coconut, jojoba, almond and rose hip oils, and it contains no colour.
Best for: anyone with colour-treated or dry hair who finds shampoo leaves colour dull and lengths rough.
Kerachroma Color + Clenditioner: colour every wash
Color + Clenditioner is the same idea with semi-permanent colour added. It cleanses, conditions and deposits pigment in one step. It comes in 18 shades, from blonde toners like Platinum and Silver to pastels, brights, reds and browns.
Best for: keeping a fashion shade or red bright, cooling a blonde, or trying a new colour without commitment. It cannot lighten hair, so read our shade guide before you choose.
Kerachroma Toning Drops: custom blonde tone
Toning Drops are demi-permanent toning concentrates you add a few drops at a time to a conditioner. Violet is for cool blonde tones and brightens blonde and silver hair. Gold is for warm blonde tones and adds warmth to blonde and white hair.
Best for: blondes who want to control exactly how cool or warm their tone is, rather than choosing a pre-mixed shade.
Kerachroma Purify Plus: protection from tap water
Purify Plus is a leave-in conditioning spray. Its Krystal Water Complex neutralizes the chlorine and trace minerals in tap water that dull colour and roughen hair, and keratin, silk amino acids and panthenol help strengthen and soften. Original is for everyday conditioning; Lite Volumizing is the lighter version for fine hair.
Best for: anyone washing in hard or chlorinated water, and colour that turns brassy or dull quickly.
Kerachroma Color Fling: colour for a day
Color Fling is a temporary colour styling cream in Teal and Silver. Style it into a streak or all over and shampoo it out when you are done.
How to combine them
- To keep a salon colour bright: wash with Clenditioner, use Color + Clenditioner in your shade every second wash, finish with Purify Plus.
- To keep blonde cool: wash with Clenditioner, then either Platinum or Silver Color + Clenditioner or a few Violet Toning Drops in your conditioner.
- If your water is hard: add Purify Plus after every wash, whatever else you use.
Colour products are not needed every single wash. Alternate with plain Clenditioner so you control the intensity.
Frequently asked questions
Is Clenditioner the same as Color + Clenditioner?
No. Clenditioner is the plain conditioning cleanser with no pigment. Color + Clenditioner adds semi-permanent colour.
Is Kerachroma the same as Keracolor?
Kerachroma is the name the brand uses in Canada; the brand's website, keracolorhair.com, sells the same product families under the Keracolor name in the United States. The packaging differs, so the barcode and label on a Kerachroma bottle are not the same as on a US Keracolor bottle.
Do I need gloves?
Yes for Color + Clenditioner and Toning Drops, which contain colour. Clenditioner and Purify Plus do not.
