Hercules Sagemann has made combs by hand in Germany since 1856. Most of its range is hard rubber (ebonite) — strong, flexible, anti-static and resistant to heat and chemicals — with a newer Carbon line that is lighter in the hand. This guide matches each comb to the job.

Hard rubber or carbon?
Both resist heat and chemicals. Hard rubber has the classic weight and flex; carbon is lighter and very anti-static.
