The Complete OPI Buying Guide: Every OPI Range at ProHair

OPI has been a salon favourite for decades, and names like Big Apple Red, Bubble Bath, Funny Bunny and Lincoln Park After Dark are shorthand for a certain kind of perfect manicure. But "OPI" is not one product. It is a family of systems that dry differently, wear differently and come off differently. This guide walks through every OPI range ProHair carries — all supplied through Cantin, OPI's Canadian distributor — so you can pick the right one the first time.

How ProHair organises OPI

Each OPI range is a single product page, with every shade as a variant. Instead of scrolling through hundreds of separate listings, open the range you want — for example OPI Nail Lacquer — and pick your shade from the list. Every shade shows its own bottle photo wherever OPI publishes one, its exact Cantin item number and its current availability.

Nail Lacquer — the classic

Nail Lacquer is the original OPI formula: a 15 mL bottle with a wide brush, two coats for full colour, a glossy, chip-resistant finish, and removal with any polish remover. It needs no lamp. It is the easiest place to start, and at $6.05 and up it is the most affordable way to own an iconic shade.

Best for: anyone who wants a classic salon manicure at home, shade collectors and pedicures.

Infinite Shine — long wear without a lamp

Infinite Shine gives a gel-like, high-gloss finish that lasts longer than a classic lacquer, still without a UV or LED lamp, and it removes with regular remover. It is designed as a system: Infinite Shine Gel-Like Base Coat, two coats of colour, then the Gel-Like Top Coat.

Best for: people who love the look of gel but not the soak-off, and anyone who only has time for one manicure a week.

GelColor — professional soak-off gel

GelColor is OPI's professional gel polish. Each layer is cured under an LED gel lamp, and the result is a hard, high-shine manicure built to last for weeks. Removal is by soaking, not peeling. It needs the GelColor base and top coats and a lamp such as the OPI Star Light.

Best for: nail technicians and experienced at-home gel users.

RapiDry — quick-dry colour

RapiDry is OPI's quick-drying polish in a compact 9 mL bottle, made for people who paint their nails ten minutes before heading out. Best for: busy mornings and quick touch-ups.

xPRESS/ON — instant press-on nails

xPRESS/ON kits give you a finished, gel-like manicure in minutes: size, press and go, with no dry time. Choose iconic shades, French tips or nail art in short, long and extra-short styles. Best for: events, travel and anyone who cannot paint.

Nature Strong — vegan polish and skincare

Nature Strong is OPI's vegan, natural-origin polish in earthy shades, and the Nature Strong skincare range covers Glow Up cuticle oil, the Good as Gold cuticle pen, the To the Rescue overnight balm, Soothe & Remove cuticle remover, the Soften Up pedi soak, the Smooth It Out scrub and Moisture Mission hand & foot cream.

Treatments — Nail Envy and Repair Mode

Nail Envy is the iconic OPI strengthener with Tri-Flex Technology (OPI reports nails 95% stronger in one week). Repair Mode is a bond-building nail serum with patented Ulti-Plex Technology that works inside the nail. See our OPI nail care guide for how to use them together.

Base and top coats

The base and top coat make the manicure last. Choose from OPI base coats and strengtheners and OPI top coats for lacquer and Infinite Shine, or the GelColor base coats and GelColor top coats for gel.

GELevate, tips and lamps

For salon extensions, GELevate 4-in-1 builder gel adheres, fills, overlays and builds; GELevate Soft Gel Tips come prepped in five shapes; and the Lightning Flash Cure lamp tacks tips in place before the full cure.

Gift sets and kits

Nail Lacquer gift sets bundle seasonal minis and duos, and GelColor collection kits bring a whole seasonal gel launch to the salon in one box.

Quick decision guide

  • No lamp, classic finish → Nail Lacquer
  • No lamp, longest wear → Infinite Shine
  • Weeks of wear, have a lamp → GelColor
  • Always rushing → RapiDry
  • No painting at all → xPRESS/ON
  • Vegan → Nature Strong
  • Weak nails → Nail Envy or Repair Mode

Bottom line

Pick the system first, then the shade. If you are unsure, start with Nail Lacquer and a base and top coat — then move to Infinite Shine when you want more wear. Browse the full OPI collection.
