What is Cell Equalizer Technology?
Cell Equalizer Technology is the core science of the current Bonacure Clean Performance generation. It restores the protective chains on the hair's surface, bringing the cuticle closer to its natural, undamaged state. It works alongside a plant-derived Vegan Keratin — wheat and soy amino acids with arginine and serine — so hair is reinforced from the surface in, wash after wash, without animal-derived proteins.
Which Bonacure line is best for colour-treated hair?
Start with Color Freeze. Its pH 4.5 formulas rebalance the hair after a colour service and seal the cuticle, which is what keeps pigment from washing out — the line claims close to zero fade. If your colour is blonde, grey or white and turning brassy, add Goodbye Yellow once or twice a week, or use Color Freeze Silver shampoo and treatment for a gentler everyday cool-tone routine.
Are Bonacure formulas vegan?
The current Clean Performance generation is formulated vegan: the keratin is plant-derived, built from wheat and soy amino acids, arginine and serine rather than animal sources. Goodbye Yellow is additionally free of SLS/SLES sulphates and parabens. If a specific certification matters to you, check the individual product page, since a few older-generation formats can still differ.
How do I use Goodbye Yellow, and how often?
Goodbye Yellow is a highly pigmented neutralizing wash, stronger than a typical drugstore purple shampoo. Use it once or twice a week in place of your regular shampoo: work it through wet hair, leave it for up to five minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Its purple-blue pigment blend cancels yellow tones from the first wash, and the pH 4.5 base keeps results consistent. On other days, pair it with Color Freeze to protect toned colour.
Repair Rescue or Time Restore — which one do I need?
Choose by cause. Repair Rescue treats damage you did to the hair: bleach, colour, heat and chemical services that leave it porous and prone to breakage — its peptide repair approach is positioned to reverse up to three years of damage. Time Restore treats what time does to hair: with age it loses elasticity, density and bounce, and Time Restore's Q10+ formulas strengthen and re-densify mature, fragile hair. If your hair is both mature and chemically damaged, cleanse with one line and treat weekly with the other.
Can I mix Bonacure lines?
Yes — the lines are designed to be combined, and most routines benefit from it. A common pairing is a Color Freeze shampoo with a Moisture Kick conditioner for coloured hair that is also dry, or a weekly Repair Rescue mask layered over a Volume Boost daily routine for fine, damaged hair. Use the line that matches your main concern for cleansing, then borrow a conditioner or treatment from a second line for your secondary concern.
Are the 1 L salon sizes worth it?
Usually, yes — the litre bottles are the same professional formula at a much better per-millilitre price. A Moisture Kick or Repair Rescue shampoo is $19.17 in the 250 ml retail size but $45.42 for 1 L — about 2.4 times the price for 4 times the product.
