Heat-Damaged Hair

Address existing dryness or fragility and prepare more carefully for the next style. Compare repair care with labelled heat protection; a protective spray and an intensive treatment have different jobs.

How to choose

A targeted treatment step

Miracle Hair Rescue is used on clean, towel-dried hair. Wait 90 seconds before styling or adding another product; do not rinse. This timing belongs to the selected Wella treatment, not every product on the page.

Cream preparation before styling

Extreme Play Safe is a leave-in cream for clean, damp hair before blow-drying or heat styling. Follow the product and tool instructions together: a protection threshold is not your recommended tool temperature.

A fine-hair spray format

This Bodyguard listing is the fine-and-thin-hair formula. Compare the named formula rather than assuming every Bodyguard bottle is identical; follow its application directions before your chosen tool.

Your questions, answered

Does protection undo all previous damage?
Treat existing conditioning needs separately. Heat protection prepares styling; it is not a blanket promise that every previous change to the hair is reversed.
Should I use the highest protected temperature?
No. Follow your tool’s instructions and choose according to hair condition. A product’s tested limit is not a styling recommendation.
Can a dry-hair iron touch damp hair?
Use each tool only in its stated conditions. A leave-in applied to damp hair does not make an ordinary dry-hair iron a wet-to-dry device.
Oil or heat protectant?
Check the exact oil’s claim and application. Shine alone does not establish heat protection.
