Insight Professional by Concern: Frizz, Dryness, Colour, Curls and Daily Washing

Most people do not shop by brand line. They shop by the thing that is annoying them. This guide maps the five complaints we hear most often onto the exact Insight products that address them — and, just as usefully, tells you when an Insight product is not the answer.

1. Frizz

Frizz is usually a moisture and cuticle problem: the cuticle is lifted, humidity gets in, and the hair swells. Insight's answer is the Anti-Frizz line, which it names the Hydrating family.

Start with: Anti-Frizz Hydrating Shampoo (100 ml), then the Anti-Frizz Hydrating Mask (400 ml jar). The actives doing the work are organic amaranth and linseed extracts, with cottonseed oil and cocoa seed butter softening the cuticle so hair combs out smooth.

Then add, for styling: Oil Non Oil — a water-based anti-frizz styling fluid, despite the name — or Liquid Crystals for shine and smoothing.

What will not fix frizz: a purple mask. Cold Reflections is a tone product, not a smoothing one.

2. Dryness

Dryness and frizz get confused constantly, and they take different products. The test is simple: frizzy hair is fluffy and uncontrollable; dry hair feels rough and looks dull. If yours feels rough rather than fluffy, the Dry Hair line — Insight's Nourishing family — is the better starting point.

Start with: Nourishing Shampoo (100 ml). Because Insight's Nourishing mask and conditioner are not in the Canadian assortment we carry, pair it with the Anti-Frizz Hydrating Mask for weekly treatment and the Illuminating Hair Oil-Serum to finish. Crossing lines here is deliberate, not a compromise — it is the completest dry-hair routine Insight's current Canadian range supports.

3. Colour fade and brassiness

These are two different problems and they take two different products, which is where most people go wrong.

Colour fading — your colour is washing out and going flat. Use the Colored Hair line, which Insight calls Protective. Start with Color Protective Shampoo as your everyday wash.

Brassiness — your blonde is going yellow or orange. That needs pigment, and the product is the Cold Reflections Hair Mask from the Blonde line, which contains Acid Violet 43.

The trap to avoid: the Neutralizing Shampoo and Neutralizing Mask sound like toning products and are not. They are post-colour acidifiers: they re-establish the hair's natural pH and help close the cuticle after a colour service. Neither contains any pigment. Buying them to fix brass will not work. Both are also marked Pro Only by Insight.

4. Curls and tangles

This is the concern Insight serves best in our range, because Elasti-Curl is the only Insight line where ProHair carries a complete routine with no gaps.

• Wash: Pure Mild Shampoo
• Treat: Curly Hair Detangling Mask (a 200 ml tube)
• Leave in: Leave-In Detangling Hair Milk
• Finish: Bouncy Curls Hair Oil
• Hold: Light Hold Fixative Hair Spray

If detangling is the specific pain point, the mask and the hair milk are the two that matter most; the rest is refinement.

5. Everyday washing, no single big problem

Plenty of people do not have a dominant concern — they wash often and want the routine to be short. That is the Daily Use line, which Insight calls Energizing, and it is the one line where ProHair holds a genuine three-step everyday set: Energizing Shampoo, the Leave-In Hair Detangler, and the Bodifying Dry Shampoo (40 g) for the days between washes.

6. Pollution and sun exposure

The Protective Hair Spray from the Antioxidant line is the product aimed at environmental exposure — antioxidant, pollution and sun.

Be clear about what it is not. It is not a heat protectant; Insight publishes no thermal claim for it, and states the Antioxidant family is formulated without UV filters. If you want heat protection before a straightener or a dryer, do not buy this expecting it.
