Insight Professional is an Italian professional haircare house from Parma, built around plant-derived actives and deliberately uncomplicated formulas. ProHair carries the Insight range across ten families — everyday washing, frizz, dryness, colour care, curls, blonde, styling, men's grooming and the professional colour-room line.

One thing makes the whole range easier to shop, and it catches almost everyone: Insight names its lines after the problem and its products after the solution. The shampoo inside the Anti-Frizz line is called Hydrating Shampoo; the one inside the Colored Hair line is called Protective Shampoo. Anti-Frizz = Hydrating, Dry Hair = Nourishing, Colored Hair = Protective, Damaged Hair = Restructurizing, Daily Use = Energizing.

Vegan OK and Nickel Tested are confirmed by Insight on the current products we carry. We do not claim them on the items Insight has since delisted, and we do not describe any Insight shampoo as sulphate-free — several of them are not. Why is the Anti-Frizz shampoo called 'Hydrating' — did I buy the wrong one?
No. This is the single most confusing thing about Insight and it trips up almost everyone. Insight names its lines after the concern and its products after the action, so the shampoo inside the Anti-Frizz line is the Hydrating Shampoo. The full mapping is Anti-Frizz = Hydrating, Dry Hair = Nourishing, Colored Hair = Protective, Damaged Hair = Restructurizing, Daily Use = Energizing. There is also one genuine collision: the Antioxidant line's products are also called Protective, so Protective Shampoo is Colored Hair while Protective Hair Spray is Antioxidant. They are different products for different jobs and we stock both.
Are Insight shampoos sulphate-free?
No, and we will not tag them that way. Sodium Coceth Sulfate is the second ingredient in the Hydrating, Protective, Energizing and Nourishing shampoos, and in the Neutralizing and Pre-Treatment shampoos. The Insight MAN Beard Cleanser carries Magnesium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Coco-Sulfate near the top of its list. Insight does run a Senza Solfati (sulphate-free) category on its own site, but the products in it are not the ones ProHair currently carries. If avoiding sulphates is your requirement, tell us and we will point you to a range that genuinely meets it rather than sell you the wrong bottle.
Will the Neutralizing Shampoo tone brass out of my blonde?
No. This is the most expensive misunderstanding in the Insight range. The Neutralizing Shampoo and Neutralizing Mask are post-colour acidifiers: they re-establish the hair's natural pH and help close the cuticle scales after a colour service. Neither contains any pigment at all, so neither can neutralise a yellow or orange tone. The genuine anti-brass product we carry is the Cold Reflections Hair Mask from the Blonde line, which contains Acid Violet 43. Both Neutralizing products are also marked Pro Only by Insight and are intended for salon use.
Is the Protective Hair Spray a heat protectant?
No. It is a leave-in from the Antioxidant line aimed at antioxidant, pollution and sun exposure, and Insight publishes no thermal claim for it. Insight also states the Antioxidant family is formulated without UV filters. Insight's actual heat-protection product is the INtech Heat Protection Shield, which ProHair does not currently stock. If you want something to use before a straightener or a dryer, this is not it, and we would rather say so than let you find out the hard way.
Which Insight line should I start with?
Start from the problem. Frizz and humidity means Anti-Frizz (Hydrating). Rough, dull, dry lengths means Dry Hair (Nourishing). Colour-treated hair means Colored Hair (Protective). Blonde going yellow means the Cold Reflections Hair Mask. Curls and tangles means Elasti-Curl, which is the only Insight line where we carry a complete five-step routine. Frequent washing with no dominant concern means Daily Use (Energizing). Four of the core shampoos come in a 100 ml size — the same formula as the salon bottles — which is the cheapest honest way to test a line before committing.
Why is there no Insight conditioner on this page?
Because Insight does not currently make one below 350 ml, and the shampoos ProHair stocks from those lines are the 100 ml size. That is a gap in the manufacturer's range rather than an oversight in ours, and it is why several of our recommended routines use a mask or a leave-in where you might expect a conditioner. The Elasti-Curl Leave-In Detangling Hair Milk and the Daily Use Leave-In Hair Detangler both do conditioning work, and both are in stock.
Is Insight COSMOS-certified or organic?
Insight does operate a certified COSMOS Natural category, so the certification is genuine — but none of the products ProHair currently carries sits in it, so we do not make that claim on this page. What Insight does confirm on the current products we stock is Vegan OK and Nickel Tested, and several formulas use certified organic plant extracts such as organic amaranth and organic linseed. We do not extend the Vegan OK or Nickel Tested claims to the seven items Insight has since delisted, because Insight no longer publishes them.
Some Insight sizes look wrong online. Which is right?
Insight sizes are misquoted widely, and we have checked ours against Insight's own pack codes. The Anti-Frizz Hydrating Mask and the Cold Reflections Hair Mask are 400 ml jars, not 500 ml. The Curly Hair Detangling Mask is a 200 ml tube. The Bodifying Dry Shampoo is measured in grams — 40 g — not millilitres. The Hold Cement Gel is a 200 ml tube. If a listing on this site still shows an older figure, the pack you receive is the one Insight currently manufactures, and you are welcome to ask us to confirm before ordering.
