Elchim

Elchim has built professional hair dryers in Milan since 1945, and its 3900 and 2001 are fixtures in salons and hair schools. ProHair carries the current Elchim range from Capilex, the Canadian distributor: the 3900 Healthy Ionic in four finishes, the quieter 3900 Light Ionic, the brushless Xlite Plus and 8th Sense Run, the 36-setting 8th Sense and the classic 2001 High Pressure.

Around the dryers sit the Natures Touch flat iron with floating ceramic titanium plates, wooden thermal round brushes with ceramic barrels, Cocoon diffusers matched to each dryer family, and Hot Honey Care — single-use honey treatment pods that a compatible Elchim dryer spreads through the hair as you style.

Which Elchim hair dryer should I buy?
For one dryer that does everything with frizz control, choose the 3900 Healthy Ionic. If weight or wrist strain matters, go brushless: the Xlite Plus is the lightest, the 8th Sense Run is built for all-day use on every hair type. The 2001 High Pressure is the simple, proven classic. Our buying guide compares all six.
What is a brushless motor and is it worth it?
A brushless (BLDC) digital motor has no carbon brushes to wear down, so it is lighter and lasts much longer — Elchim tests its brushless motors for more than 5,000 hours. If you blow-dry every day or professionally, it is worth the premium.
Which diffuser fits my Elchim dryer?
The Cocoon 3900 fits the 3900 Healthy Ionic, 3900 Titanium, 3900 Light, Xlite, Run and Anemos. The Cocoon 2001 / Milano fits the 2001 High Pressure and Milano Ceramic. The EL3800D fits Elchim 3800 models.
How does Hot Honey Care work?
You clip the Hot Honey Care concentrator (in the Starter Kit) onto a compatible Elchim dryer, insert a single-use pod and dry as usual. The heat and airflow activate the honey-based treatment and spread it evenly over the lengths — no rinsing. It fits Elchim dryers except the 2001, Milano, Dress Code and Mini.
Which Hot Honey Care pod is right for me?
Sublime Liss smooths wavy hair, Supreme Glossy fights frizz, Ultra Bodifying adds volume to long fine hair and X-Volume lifts short to medium fine hair. The Starter Kit includes two Sublime Liss and two Supreme Glossy pods to try.
Do Elchim dryers work on Canadian outlets?
ProHair sources Elchim from Capilex, the Canadian distributor, so the dryers we sell are Canadian-market stock. The Natures Touch flat iron is universal voltage (110–240 V).
