How to choose

Choose the movement

A curling barrel wraps a section; a waver presses a repeated pattern; a flat iron guides hair between plates. Start with the finish you want before comparing colour or family.

Compare size and handling

Diameter, working length and clamp mechanism are separate choices. Match them to your section length and the technique you can repeat comfortably.

Check the exact model

Before ordering, review the selected size, included attachments, electrical rating and instructions. Maximum heat, voltage and accessory compatibility are model-specific.

Your questions, answered

Marcel or spring clamp?
A spring clamp supplies closing tension; a Marcel handle requires you to control the clamp. Choose the mechanism you can use comfortably, then compare the actual barrel size. The two 24K Gold products are linked separately in the guide.
Does extra-long mean a larger curl?
No. Barrel length gives the section more working space; diameter is a separate measurement. Hair length, section size and wrapping technique also affect the finished shape.
Is Black Gold one type of tool?
No. This assortment includes a Black Gold flat iron, curling iron, adjustable waver, hot-air brush and dryers. Choose the styling task first. A family name does not mean all its tools have identical controls or electrical specifications.
What temperature should I choose?
Follow the instructions for your exact tool and consider the condition of your hair. Begin with a lower suitable setting and avoid unnecessary repeat passes. A tool’s maximum is a capability, not a recommended everyday temperature for everyone.
Can I travel with any Hot Tools appliance?
Check the electrical label and instructions for the exact Canadian model. Do not infer dual voltage from a similar overseas model or a matching family name; an adapter does not change the appliance’s voltage rating.
