Your questions, answered

What is the difference between Nail Lacquer, Infinite Shine and GelColor?
Nail Lacquer is OPI's classic air-dry polish: two coats, glossy finish, removes with any remover. Infinite Shine is a long-wear, gel-like polish used with its own Gel-Like Base and Top Coat, still with no lamp. GelColor is professional soak-off gel that must be cured under an LED gel lamp and lasts the longest. Shade names are shared across the three, so you can match a gel manicure to a lacquer pedicure.
Which OPI polish lasts the longest without a lamp?
Infinite Shine. Used as a three-step system — Gel-Like Base Coat, two coats of colour and Gel-Like Top Coat — it is built for long wear with a gel-like shine and still removes with regular polish remover. For classic Nail Lacquer, adding OPI Natural Nail Base Coat and OPI Top Coat is the easiest way to extend wear.
Do I need a lamp for OPI GelColor or GELevate?
Yes. GelColor, the GelColor base and top coats and GELevate builder gel all cure under an LED gel lamp such as the OPI Star Light. Nail Lacquer, Infinite Shine, RapiDry and Nature Strong air-dry and need no lamp.
Why do some shades cost less than others?
Prices follow ProHair's cost-based pricing on each exact bottle: seasonal and collection shades often come in at a lower distributor cost than core shades, so they are priced lower. Every shade is the same genuine OPI formula for its line.
What is the best OPI product for weak or peeling nails?
Nail Envy is OPI's iconic strengthener with Tri-Flex Technology; OPI reports nails 95% stronger in one week. Repair Mode is a bond-building nail serum that works inside the nail. Many people use Repair Mode on bare nails and Nail Envy as a treatment base coat.
Are xPRESS/ON press-on nails reusable?
xPRESS/ON kits are designed for a quick, salon-looking manicure with no dry time. Follow the removal instructions on each kit to protect your natural nails; each kit includes multiple sizes and the prep tools listed on the box.
Is OPI available with French packaging and support in Canada?
ProHair ships genuine OPI supplied by authorized Canadian distribution. Product pages are available in English and French, and each listing shows the exact Cantin item number used for the supply.
