How to choose

1-inch flat irons

AFRSTYLE171C offers five settings from 265–450°F; AV-GENC offers six settings and longer plates. AVTG1C uses extra-long titanium plates and digital control, while AVSLEEKC adds a touch-screen display. Select the control format and plate length you need; maximum heat is a specification, not a target for every head of hair.

Wide titanium flat irons

Both linked tools offer 1-3/8-inch floating titanium plates and digital heat control. AV-CROCIRC is the infrared model; AV-CROCC is the separate Ultra reference. Wider plates change section coverage and access around short layers; compare that trade-off with the one-inch models.

Mini flat iron

The mini AFRFLAT161C uses narrow 5/8-inch plates and a fixed 410°F setting. Choose it for small sections and packing space; it does not offer the adjustable temperature range of the larger digital models.

Your questions, answered

Are all Avanti tools adjustable?
No. FreePlay curling irons specify 430°F fixed heat and the mini iron 410°F. Other irons offer stepped or digital adjustment. Start with the temperature control your technique needs.
Does brush diameter transfer between ranges?
Read the exact range option: the gel family lists 44 mm where the standard family lists 43 mm. Medium and large are relative names, so use the linked reference and listed size within each family.
