Takano

Takano is a Japanese-style professional shear brand distributed in Canada by Capilex. ProHair carries the current Takano range: cutting shears from the affordable Atali and Hair Kiss models to Hitachi 440C Fitz shears and cobalt Kikui, Kimari and Alu-Coba models, thinning shears from 15 to 44 teeth, and genuine left-handed shears.

Which Takano shear is best for a student?
The Atali KZ and Hair Kiss HC-101 are the most accessible cutting shears in the range. Both are professional shears at an entry price.
Does Takano make left-handed shears?

Wipe the blades after every client, put a drop of shear oil at the pivot, store the shear closed in a pouch and never use a cutting shear on paper or foils.
