Most breakage does not come from your shampoo — it comes from how you brush. Wet hair can stretch much further than dry hair before it snaps, and a stiff brush pulled from root to tip through a knot does exactly that. Step 1 — Prepare wet hair

Step 2 — Detangle from the ends up
Hold a section and start brushing 5 cm from the ends, then move up in short strokes as each part runs freely. Only when the brush slides through the ends do you brush from the roots down.
